Big "Well Done" to Vicky Palethorpe for leading a well attended Tuesday ride taking in Hatton Locks and Wellesbourne. Especial acknowledgement to her for tweaking the route in the light of the challenging weather conditions.
A really good turnout on the ride and the whole group worked together very well.
Particularly noticeable was that the group had enough confidence to allow gaps to form such that overtaking drivers were able to hop between groups.
Many thanks to Dave Hearn and the team for organising the dinner on Sunday, first rate meal and great company, something to look forward to each year, hope you are soon back on your bike Dave.
A lovely occasion which was well attended. Thanks to Dave Hearn for organising it and to the whole team at Time for Tea in Kenilworth. A friendly welcome and good food at sensible prices. A venue to be recommended!
Many thanks Dave for your hard work arranging another excellent Christmas Meal. Time for Tea is an excellent venue, the food good and the staff most helpful. I was extremely surprised and flattered to be given the Certification of Appreciation by David Cox. Many thanks to all concerned.
Well done Dave Hearn. Another great Club Christmas meal. Well organised, well attended, good food, good service and really enjoyable atmosphere.
I have been riding with CTC a couple of Sundays a month (ish), for a year. I've been made really welcome and greatly enjoy the rides, which have hugely built my confidence to tackle longer distances. Everyone is really friendly and I've made new friends even if I can't remember names from one week to the next.... I went on the Cotswold Tour run by Alan (didn't realise it was so hilly!) and the 'Ladies' Tour' (great fun) led by Vicky - both were really well organised. I want to say a massive thank you to the Sunday ride leaders as it is a big responsibility and one that although I know I should step up to, I am still a bit too chicken to do. (I do carry a good first aid kit though!) Thanks a lot for being so welcoming.
