CTC Coventry & CTC Rugby rides for the week beginning Sunday 3rd June 2018

Notices:

  1. To celebrate this year’s Women’s Festival of Cycling, Vicky Palethorpe is organising a Ladies only ride on Sunday 15th July. Click here for information.
  2. Mike Thomas is organising a camping weekend near Rutland Water from Thursday 16th August to Sunday 19th August. There are options to cycle each way from Coventry (about 50-miles) or to drive, or use train assistance to the site. Mike is planning day rides on Friday and Saturday. Coventry Sunday 3rd June

Rides meet at the Memorial Park by the Park & Ride facility (SP 324 774) at 0915hrs.

  1. An easy paced ride will be led by Carl Lewis (024 7626 7385, 077 6784 7573) to Kingsbury Water Park, Old Barn Café (SP 203 970) and back to War Memorial Park.
  2. A longer ride, up to 70-miles long will be led by Kevin Rourke (019 2641 9205, 075 9600 5829) to:
  • Warwick, The Tuckery (SP 281 649) at 10-miles for coffee,
  • Redditch, Three Cooks (SP 041 676) at 34-miles for lunch,
  • Temple Balsall (SP 207 759) at 51-miles for tea and return to
  • Coventry, Memorial Park after a total of 61-miles.

  • Meeting point: Hoar Park Craft Village (SP 271 924) at 1045hrs.

Rugby Wednesday 6th June

  • The ride will meet at 0930hrs at Sawbridge (SP 504 660), riding to
  • Warmington, The Plough (SP 411 476) for coffee, and
  • Oxhill, The Peacock (SP 316 457) for lunch
