CTC Coventry & CTC Rugby rides for the week beginning Sunday 13th January 2019

Notices:

  • The next Tuesday show is entitled “Steam Power & Pedal Power” and will be presented by Dave Hearn about The Great Dorset Steam Fair & The Tour of Britain. The show will take place at The Friends’ Meeting House, Hill Street, Coventry on Tuesday 15th January at 2000hrs.

  • Here is a list of special events planned for 2019, to put in your diary: 12th-15th April A weekend tour in The Cotswolds. The tour has proved so popular that we have reached the limit on the numbers Alan is prepared to reserve in the selected hotel. More people are welcome to join the tour but they must book the accommodation themselves. CTC Coventry Sunday 13th January

Rides meet at the War Memorial Park by the Park & Ride facility (SP 324 774) at 0915hrs.

  1. An easy paced ride up to 30-miles long will be led by George Riches (024 7645 2437, 077 4986 7516) to Stretton-under-Fosse, Malt Kiln Farm (SP 455 814) and return to Memorial Park.
  2. A longer ride will be led by Bob Tinley (024 7654 2676, 077 1783 3565) to:
    • Wellesbourne, Touchdown CafĂ© (SP 262 549), for coffee after 17-miles, to
    • Tysoe, The Peacock (SP 340 442) for lunch after 31-miles and return to
    • Coventry, Memorial Park after a total of 60-miles.

CTC Coventry Tuesday 15h January

  • Meeting point: Kenilworth, Lil Greens (SP 288 718) at 1015hrs.
  • At approximately 1100hrs the ride will be led by Jeff Palethorpe (075 1029 7038) for lunch at Hampton-in-Arden, Sandwiches@6 (SP 203 808).
  • The ride will return towards Coventry with riders leaving the group when convenient.
