Firstly we will gather as usual at 9.15 but on this occasion it will be at the War Memorial rather than the Park and Ride. We will join with the ‘Friends of the Park’ group to lay a wreath at the Memorial , similar to the one to be laid at Meriden, and take a quick photo opportunity.
Secondly at 9.45 we will do a special ride to Meriden where we expect to meet with many cyclists from all over the country to remember all cyclists lost in two World Wars . This event will be publicised nationally. There will be an opportunity to join the Meriden service.
Thirdly after a quick cup of tea at Meriden Church hall we will ride on to Fillongley re-tracing the very first ride of CTC Coventry 100 years ago.
Organisers – Bob Tinley and Dave Hearn
We would love to know if you have plans to take part in all or part of this wonderful day, so please let either Bob or Dave know.
Then as a follow-on additional event after Triple Centenary Day rides there is an opportunity to attend the Special Birthday BBQ at the Village Hall
