Weekly Bulletin

This Bulletin dated – 20th October 2019

  1. The next show is entitled “Across Spain by Bike” by Nick Hunnisett on 5th November at The Friends Meeting House, starting at 2000hrs, with pictures taken his solo tour in Spain.  The cost is remarkably good value at £1.50.
  2. There are still a few slots available at the end of the season, but the current programme can be downloaded from our website.
  3. The AGM will be held at The Friends Meeting House, Hill Street, Coventry on November 1st.  Refreshments will be provided from 1930hrs and the meeting will commence at 2000hrs.  This is an opportunity to get an insight into the running of the club and to meet the people who make our programme of events and rides possible.
  4. Darren Richardson has written to me about an upcoming “Cycling Threshold Clinics”, hosted by Coventry University’s Future Health team who specialise in Sport and Exercise Science Support.
The purpose of the clinic is to run assessments to determine participants’ cycling threshold power, and to provide feedback via a laboratory report. Participants are invited to attend the laboratory on 1-4 occasions, with confidence in the accuracy of their results improving with each additional visit. The laboratory feedback report will detail your results and prescribe training zones anchored to your personal results.  Please follow this link for more details.
